Florida Childhood Vaccination Data

For highly contagious diseases like measles, 95% of people need to be vaccinated to prevent outbreaks. When vaccination rates drop, the risk of disease increases for everyone. Florida is already well below the necessary threshold with only 88% of kindergarteners up-to-date according to the Florida Department of Health.

We invite you to review and share data from the Florida Department of Health, which uses Florida SHOTS and annual surveys to estimate childhood vaccination coverage across the state. This includes data on vaccine exemptions, which can show where community protection may be lower.

Even if your school or neighborhood has high vaccination rates, disease can still spread across communities. Vaccines help protect all of us, especially babies, older adults, and people who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons.

Thank you to the Florida Department of Health for sharing childhood immunization data for Florida’s kids.
